I’ve always wanted a career that involved helping people in some way, so becoming a life coach was a perfect fit for me.
I decided to specialize in smoking cessation because I was once a smoker and I know what an awful addiction it is to have. Every time you light up a cigarette you feel embarrassed and want to hide it because you know you’ll be judged. The fear of getting cancer and thinking every pain in your body might be related to some disease caused by your smoking is always on your mind. Trying to quit over and over again and feeling like a failure every time you cave in takes a toll on your confidence and self-esteem. It's a real monkey on your back.
I smoked two packs a day for eleven years! I tried everything in order to help me quit but nothing was working. I tried hypnosis, acupuncture, Zyban and even went cold turkey. I started to lose hope. Then I was incredibly fortunate to meet someone who taught me the same methods I use in this program which was the catalyst that finally helped me to quit. That was 25 years ago and I will forever be grateful. If I can quit, then anyone can.
For many years the thought of helping other people quit smoking the way I did would cross my mind. I realized that it was my intuition nudging me to do this and it was time to stop ignoring it. I’m so happy that I finally paid attention to that little voice in my head because helping people in this way has been extremely rewarding. My clients often come to me as a last resort and they are amazed that this program was able to easily free them from the smoking addiction. I regularly get messages from clients whom I’ve helped who continue to thank me. It’s a wonderful feeling. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help people in this way!
